Think Palm Springs. Streets dotted with palm trees, deserts covered in ochre coloured sand and an abundance of hot springs, resorts and spas. Have you ever fallen hard and fast for a space only to leave it after several days or weeks and long for your return? Palm Springs is that home away from home for us, but rather than lament over the distance and live in the realm of reflection (although we do love to reflect), we sought out and found a space that reminds us of our North American home. This is where Park House Food & Liquor comes in. The two rooms we’re about to showcase embody the colour and character of some of our favourite spaces in Palm Springs with their own charm and uniqueness.

This light-filled oasis is the decorated with minimal stools, tassel-trimmed parasols that remind us of those seen at Fontelina Beach Club, and wooden floors that would rival any 70’s Art Deco bar floor. The Garden Bar isn’t just for balmy Summer days, it’s a wonderful place to retreat to in the cooler seasons and we’ve already made plans to visit with our pals after a trip to the Beaches Market or a lionhearted dip to at Mona Vale Beach.

Unsurprisingly, one of our favourite spaces at PHF&L is the Sun Room. This aptly named space is decorated with a mixture of retro furnishings accented with modern details. We can imagine this space being the backdrop of a Wes Anderson comedy filled with eccentric characters and a wonderful storyline. This space is designed to be shared so we recommend you invite all your pals to bask in the light in this dreamy area.
